Since the pandemic started, I’ve realized that I am not a FaceTime person. So I decided to delve into a new format by making collages and working with my old pictures. It turns out that it’s amazing to work with paper and other materials - to touch pictures with my hands, as opposed to looking at them on a screen.

Just before the lockdown started in Russia, I took my first polaroids. Though I didn't know it at the time, it was the last time I saw my friends for a long while. So these polaroids are very special to me. When I look at them, I can’t wait to see my people again, to hug them, skate with them, have breakfast with them, take new pictures and feel alive again.

Note: "Vesna" translates to "springtime" in Russian
